DB2 - Problem description

DB2LOOK UTILITY HAS PASSWORD LIMITATION

Problem description:
If a Windows user password is longer than 19 characters, this 
userid cannot be used together with the db2look utility. It 
fails with: 
 
1. psw=20 chars: 
 
C:\temp>db2look -d prova -i testuser -w 12345678901234567890 -o 
test20 
-- USER is: GIANPAOLO 
-- Output is sent to file: test20 
 
SQL30082N  Security processing failed with reason "5" ("USERID 
MISSING").  SQLSTATE=08001 
 
 
2. psw= 21 chars or above: 
 
C:\temp>db2look -d prova -i testuser -w 123456789012345678901 -o 
test21 
-- USER is: GIANPAOLO 
-- Output is sent to file: test21 
 
SQL30082N  Security processing failed with reason "24" 
("USERNAME AND/OR PASSWORD INVALID").  SQLSTATE=08001 
 
 
No problem at all if password length <= 19 chars
