GRACEFUL TAKEOVER COULD HANG FOR DB2 HADR DATABASE
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
Takeover command on DB2 HADR standby could hang because HADR fails to force off all applications on primary. When this happens, from db2pd -db <dbname> -hadr, you can see value of ClientsRemainingOnP is not 0. And from db2pd -edus, you can see some "db2agent" EDUs remaining.
Problem Summary: | |

Local Fix: | |
The workaround to prevent this issue is to stop all applications on the primary before issuing a takeover. If the issue has been encountered, then you need to restart the primary HDAR server.
