DB2 - Problem description
Problem IC86557 | Status: Closed |
POSSIBLE ABEND DUE TO DOUBLE FREE IN STMTHEAP MEMORY WHEN COMPILING A COMPLEX QUERY WITH MULTIPLE GROUP-BY SUBQUERIES
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
When compiling a complex statement with multiple group-by sub queries, it is possible that the DB2 Query Compiler will free the same internal memory structure twice. When this happens, the problem goes undetected until the memory is reused, during the same query compilation. This may lead to a crash with possibly several signature call stacks, a few that have been observed : 1. sqlnr_pullup_rejoin_qun sqlnr_pullup_compensations sqlnr_subsume_derived_match sqlnr_subsume_match form_matches 2. sqlnr_qncdereqc sqlnr_optprep sqlnr_optprep sqlnr_comp 3. sqlnq_qtb::insert_between sqlnq_qun::insert_selbox sqlnr_insert_selbox sqlnr_optprep sqlnr_optprep_action
