DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC87889 Status: Closed

SQL0901 to prevent abnormal termination of non-SQL routines

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A10 - DB2
Problem description:
DB2 will return SQL0901 instead of abnormally terminating in
sqlerGetFmpFromPool when executing a non-SQL stored
procedure/user defined function.

This issue has been isolated to v9.1 and has not been reported
on v9.5 and v9.7. Since root cause has not been identified this
code added to the v9.7 release to proactively avoid a possible
abnormal termination which would bring down the DB2 instance.

The abnormal termination (signal #11 / SIGSEV) will contain the
stack below

sqlerGetFmpFromPoolP14sqlerFmpHandleP13sqlerFmpParms
sqlerInvokeFencedRoutineP13sqlerFmpParms
sqlriInvokeInvokerP10sqlri_ufob
sqlriutfP8sqlrr_cb
sqlriExecThreadP8sqlrr_cbP12sqlri_opparm
