product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A10 - DB2
Problem description: | |
When capturing section explain information, the value of column SUBQUERY of the explain table EXPLAIN_PREDICATE may incorrectly be 'N' for some predicates.
Problem Summary: | |
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: * * LUW users with Subquery predicates * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: * * See Error Description * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * * Upgrade the server to DB2 for Linux, Unix and Windows to * * Version 10.1 Fixpack 2. * ****************************************************************
Local Fix: | |
A workaround is to select the following expression instead of selecting the SUBQUERY column directly. SELECT CASE LENGTH(TRIM(WHEN_EVALUATED)) WHEN 0 THEN 'N' ELSE 'Y' END AS SUBQUERY FROM EXPLAIN_PREDICATE
available fix packs: | |
DB2 Version 10.1 Fix Pack 2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows
Solution | |
DB2 for Linux, Unix and Windows Version 10.1 Fixpack will properly display the Subquery indicator as "Y" or "N" in the EXPLAIN_PREDICATE table, in the SUBQUERY column, when and explain from section is used to gather an explain containing subqueries.
