Problem description: | |
db2look & SYSDATAPARTITIONS(LOWVALUE & HIGHVALUE) can produce incorrect string representation for partitioning range values. This issue has only been see using "FOR BIT DATA" on the DATA PARTITIONS columns. Example: create table t1 (c1 varchar(4) for bit data not null) partition by range (c1) (part p0 starting (X'00000000'), part p1 starting (X'10000000'), part p2 starting (X'20000000') ending (X'FFFFFFFF')) P0 (X'00000000 - X'0FFFFFFF) P1 (X'10000000 - X'1FFFFFFF) P2 (X'20000000 - X'FFFFFFFF) Proposal: create table t1 (c1 varchar(4) for bit data not null) partition by range (c1) (part p0 starting MINVALUE inclusive ending (X'0FFFFFFF') inclusive, part p1 starting (X'0FFFFFFF') exclusive ending (X'1FFFFFFF') inclusive, part p2 starting (X'1FFFFFFF') exclusive ending (X'FFFFFFFF')) P0 (MINVALUE - X'0FFFFFFF) P1 (X'10000000 - X'1FFFFFFF) P2 (X'20000000 - X'FFFFFFFF) | |
