DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC89765 Status: Closed

UNDEFINED SYMBOL SQLHARESOURCEMODELRECREATE WITHIN LIBDB2O.SO

product:
DB2 COMMON CLIE / DBCMNCLNT / A10 - DB2
Problem description:
The libdb2o.so library is the DB2 ODBC library that is used with
an ODBC driver manager such as UnixODBC or Data Direct. If an
application loads this library dynamically then it could fail
with the following error:

1: undefined symbol: sqlhaResourceModelRecreate'.

Local Fix:
If possible, use the ODBC driver manager to load the library
instead of loading the library directly within the application.
Alternatively, use libdb2.so instead of libdb2o.so if the
library needs to be loaded dynamically.

Note: the libdb2.so library cannot be used with an ODBC driver
manager.
