DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC90242 Status: Closed

EXCESSIVE MEMORY USAGE WITH XML SYSTEM TEMPORARY TABLES

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A10 - DB2
Problem description:
As of DB2 version 9.7 Fix Pack 6/ Version 10.1 GA, systems with
a a very high concurrent requirement of XML system temporary
tables may see higher memory usage in the database heap. In all
but extreme cases this additional memory usage will be
insignificant.

Example db2pd -alldbs -mempools output, showing that the real
memory usage (PhySz) greatly exceeds the internal requirement
(LogSz)
Memory Pools:
MemSet PoolName Id LogSz LogUpBnd LogHWM
PhySz PhyUpBnd PhyHWM
