DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC90825 Status: Closed

DB2IUPGRADE HANGS FOREVER IN THE DB2 ACS UPGRADE STEP WHEN THERE ARE
SPECIAL FILES LIKE NAMED PIPES LOCATED IN THE ACS DIRECTORY

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A10 - DB2
Problem description:
Db2iupgrade will hang forever during the DB2 ACS upgrade step,
when special files are located in the sqllib/acs directory. The
following process in the ps output will never come to an end:

/usr/bin/cp -prf /db2/XXX/sqllib_v97/acs /db2/XXX/sqllib

This happens, when the sqllib/acs directory contains special
files like named pipes.

In addition, symbolic links are not copied correctly to the
destination directory as well.
