DB2VAL GETS "ERROR WHILE LOADING SHARED LIBRARIES"

DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A10 - DB2
Problem description: | |
After you install DB2 on Linux or UNIX by running the db2setup command, when you run the db2val command it might output a message that there was an error while loading shared libraries. For example: db2val: error while loading shared libraries: libDB2xml4c-depdom.so.57: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory That is because the db2val executable file has dependencies on libraries that are not installed.
