DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC91235 Status: Closed

FED:FEDERATED QUERY WITH A LARGE AMOUNT OF COLUMNS COULD EXPERIENCE LONG
TIME COMPILATION

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description:
The compilation time for federated query that involves
nicknames and a large amount of columns could be very long. It
results from some inefficient way to handle columns in
compilation. It can be hit with the following conditions:
1) there is at least one nickname involved in the query
2) there are a large amount of columns involved in the query
even if the columns are from local table of the queries.
