DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC91293 Status: Closed

DB2 MIGHT ABEND WHILE EXECUTING A COMPOUND SQL STATEMENT

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A10 - DB2
Problem description:
DB2 provides support for compound SQL (compiled) statements aka
Anonymous Blocks.
Such blocks do not allow any DDL statements to be present inside
and are expected to
return a SQL0104N error message.

However, under rare scenarios, the execution of such a block
containing the DDL statement might cause DB2 to abend if the
following conditions are satisfied:
1. The anonymous blocks declares one or more DDL statements
2. The block also contains one or more statements which has an
isolation level set on them.
