DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC91299 Status: Closed

ASYNCHRONOUS RUNSTATS REQUESTS MIGHT BE LOST IN DPF ENVIRONMENTS FOR TABLES
THAT DO NOT RESIDE ON THE CATALOG DATABASE PARTITION

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A10 - DB2
Problem description:
When the real time statistics (RTS) feature is enabled for a
database, db2agent EDUs compiling SQL statements can
synchronously collect statistics and make asynchronous runstats
requests to be satisfied by the background RTS daemon. The
asynchronous requests might be lost in DPF environments for
tables that do not reside on the catalog database partition.
Whether the problem will occur is not deterministic. If the
problem occurs, until statistics are refreshed by a subsequent
synchronous or asynchronous collection, the query optimizer will
have less accurate statistics when making access plan decisions.
