Problem IC91474 | Status: Closed |
REPLAYING CREATE BUFFERPOOL FAILS WITH SQL0901N (SQLB_NONSEVERE_PRGERR FROM SQLBCREATEBPONDISK) IN PURESCALE ENVIRONMENT
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A50 - DB2
Problem description: | |
In a pureScale environment, a pair of buffer pool information files (SQLBP.1 and SQLBP.2) exists on each member in the cluster. Assume that the database needs to be rolled forward. An unexpected problem (e.g. crash) happens when replaying a CREATE BUFFERPOOL statement, and the rollforward operation terminates. If the timing is right, it is possible that only some of the buffer pool information files have been updated while others have not. At this point, an attempt to restart the rollforward operation will fail with SQL0901N. Symptoms similar to the following will be recorded in the DB2 diagnostic log: 2013-04-07-09.30.05.921561-240 I943469637A2280 LEVEL: Severe PID : 34078918 TID : 22122 KTID : 47448187 PROC : db2sysc 0 INSTANCE: db2inst1 NODE : 000 DB : SAMPLE APPHDL : 0-55 APPID: *N0.DB2.130407132957 HOSTNAME: myhostname EDUID : 22122 EDUNAME: db2redom (SAMPLE) 0 FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, buffer pool services, sqlbCreateBPOnDisk, probe:3195 MESSAGE : ZRC=0x82020001=-2113798143=SQLB_NONSEVERE_PRGERR "non-severe BPS programming error" DIA8532C An internal processing error has occurred.
