When using db2expln with "-cache" option to describe an access plan, db2expln can cause the instance to trap if it's given a non-existent SQL statement as an input. 1. db2expln sample output Licensed Material - Program Property of IBM IBM DB2 Universal Database SQL and XQUERY Explain Tool Error during explain call. Message Text = SQL1224N The database manager is not able to accept new requests, has terminated all requests in progress, or has terminated the specified request because of an error or a forced interrupt.
