DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC94728 Status: Closed

REQUIRED TRANSACTION LOGS FOR ONLINE BACKUP CAN GET DELETED IN DB2 V10.X.
RESULTING IN SQL2048N ERROR.

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A10 - DB2
Problem description:
In db2 v10.x a new function was created for determining if a
database is recoverable. But prune command still relies on the
old method used in db2 v9.x. Thus the check for recoverable
comes back false, when it is clearly true and allows a log file
to get deleted. This can be manifested by way of further
online backups failing with SQL2048N error about not able to
include the needed log files.

The prune command logic will be changed to address this
issue.
