DB2 - Problem description
Problem IC95475 | Status: Closed |
IN RARE TIMING SCENARIO, LOAD PERFORMANCE WITH LOB VALUES MAY DEGRADE
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A50 - DB2
Problem description: | |
When Loading a large data set, and the target table has a LOB (CLOB/BLOB/LF) column, and the LOB column is not inlined (or the LOB column is inlined but there are lots of lob values which are too large to inline), the performance of the Load utility may decline significantly. This is caused by a rare timing scenario where, for each record processed by Load, it will search the entire lob object for free space instead of using an available hint.
