DB2 - Problem description
Problem IC95498 | Status: Closed |
CHANGE TO ENHANCE ERROR MESSAGE REGARDING MINIMUM FREE SPACE REQ UIREMENTS FOR INSTALLATION AND INSTANCE CREATE/UPDATE OPERATIONS
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A50 - DB2
Problem description: | |
Due to minimum free space requirements on the following directories: /var , /tmp , /etc , /opt , commands: db2setup, db2_install, db2icrt and db2iupdt might fail and return an error: ERROR: There is not enough free disk space in "/directory_in_subject" to continue with the installation. Free up additional space and run the installation again. This APAR change, is to replace message above with the more generic one: "DBI20081E There is not enough free disk space in \"%%1\". Free space detected in \"%%2\"is \"%%3\", while space needed is \"%%4\". Free up additional space and try again." In addition to above, the DBI20081E message will be thrown up-front (i.e. initially) instead of later stage when the tasks are being performed.
