DB2 - Problem description
Problem IC97885 | Status: Closed |
SQL0206N "A.TYPERULES" NOT FOUND SHOULD NOT BLOCK DB2LOOK TO GENERATE DDLS FOR OTHER OBJECTS
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A50 - DB2
Problem description: | |
In v10.1fp2, db2 introduced another column TYPERULES in SYSCAT.DATATYPES by a new feature "Weak type support". db2look was accordingly changed to pick up this new column then generate new clause in DDL. However, if the database was created in older-version instance, db2look will fail with SQL0206N "A.TYPERULES" not found. This "A.TYPERULES" is used to generate CREATE TYPE DDLs, it should not affect db2look to generate DDLs of other objects such as tables, routines, etc.
