DB2 - Problem description
Problem IC99489 | Status: Closed |
SQL20442 ERROR ATTEMPTING TO ALLOCATE APPLICATION HEAP MEMORY FOR ARRAY VALUES IN SQL PROCEDURES
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A50 - DB2
Problem description: | |
When allocating memory from the application heap for array values for SQL procedures, DB2 performs an available memory check. This check is excessively conservative and results in unnecessary SQL20442 errors. This check will be removed under this APAR. If it desired to limit the amount of application heap that can be allocated for this purpose, it is recommended to test applications and determine an appropriate upper limit to use as a fixed setting for the APPLHEAPSZ database configuration parameter .
