DB2 - Problem description
Problem IC99679 | Status: Closed |
A REORG INPLACE OPERATION ON A TABLE WITH ADAPTIVE COMPRESSION ENABLED MIGHT FAIL OR RESULT IN AN INCORRECTLY COMPRESSED ROW
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A50 - DB2
Problem description: | |
When a row is moved by using the REORG INPLACE operation, the DB2 product searches for a new page with sufficient space. Under certain conditions, a row might be relocated to a new page with an incorrect compression encoding. Any subsequent queries that access this row will retrieve incorrect data since the contents of the row cannot be uncompressed properly. This problem is more likely to occur on tables that do not have large RIDs enabled.
