Problem IT00763 | Status: Closed |
INCORRECT WARNING SQL1363W RAISED WHEN UPDATING A DB CFG PARAMETER ON INACTIVE DATABASE
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A10 - DB2
Problem description: | |
If there are more than 1 database in the instance, then an incorrect warning SQL1363W may be raised if the current database is inactive, but one or more other databases have been explicitly activated e.g. db2 create database P1 db2 create database P2 db2 activate database P1 db2 update db cfg for P2 using LOGSECOND 10 DB20000I The UPDATE DATABASE CONFIGURATION command completed successfully. SQL1363W One or more of the parameters submitted for immediate modification were not changed dynamically. For these configuration parameters, the database must be shutdown and reactivated before the configuration parameter changes become effective. as P2 is not active, it should not return SQL1363W This problem is cosmetic in nature, the update is processed and no further action is needed.
