DB2 - Problem description
Problem IT01472 | Status: Closed |
THE DB2UDB_SVC_PROBE.KSH SCRIPT USED FOR HA WITH SUN CLUSTER INCORRECTLY RETURNS WITH RC=1 CAUSING AN INSTANCE RESTART
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A10 - DB2
Problem description: | |
In a high availability environment where Sun Cluster is used as a cluster manager, the db2udb_svc_probe.ksh monitor script can sometimes erroneously return with a return code of '1' instead of '0' indicating that DB2 is offline when in reality it is online. This causes the DB2 instance to be stopped and restarted by the cluster manager.
