| Problem description: |
The README file included in the gskit subdirectory of the
Informix 12.10 install bundle lists the gskit version as:
7.0.4.x, October 2008
However, per the 12.10 Machine notes, and gskit tar files in
that directory, the gskit version required by 12.10.xC1 is
8.0.13.3, and higher for 12.10.xC2 and 12.10.xC3.
While this is essentially a cosmetic documentation error, it can
lead to confusion. Someone may read the README file, see
version 7.0.4.x listed and note that they already have gskit
version 7.0.4.x installed on their system and end up bypassing
the required gskit upgrade to version 8. |
