A memory leak in the application heap may occur executing a query referencing column-based data. Various symptoms may occur relating to excessive memory usage. The memory is released when the related connection terminates, as the application heap is freed. MON_GET_MEMORY_POOL or other memory monitoring tools may show growing and/or excessive memory usage for an application heap.
