Informix - Problem description

Problem IT02189 Status: Closed

CREATING A TABLE WITH COMPRESSED KEYWORD WILL CREATE IT IN CDR ALTER MODE

product:
INFORMIX SERVER / 5725A3900 / C10 - IDS 12.10
Problem description:
A table created with the 'compressed' keyword will say "TBLspace
flagged for CDR alter mode" in oncheck -pt.
It will allow inserting rows.

As soon as you define a replicate on it, inserts will fail with:

19992: Cannot perform insert/delete/update operations on a
replicated table while the
 table is in alter mode

and the table will still be flagged 'CDR alter mode', but not
'replicated'.

Only 'cdr alter ... --off' will get you out of this and the
table will function properly.
