Informix - Problem description

Problem IT03000 Status: Closed

OPENTABLE MEMORY OF A SESSION CAN GROW AND CAN LEAD TO OVERLY LARGER MEMORY
CONSUMPTION AND POSSIBLY TO MEMORY FRAGMENTATION

product:
IFMX ULT WHSE E / IM0019BOS / C10 - IDS 12.10
Problem description:
In newer versions (12.10.xC3W1 and 12.10.xC4) you may observe an
increase of the opentable memory for a session.

This memory usage can be monitored with "onstat -g ses
session_id" by looking at the value after "opentable". You may
observe a steady increase there without too many partitions
opened at a time and which was not observed in earlier versions
(and without a change of your application).

Eventually you may receive memory allocation errors.
