DB2VAL FAILS TO VALIDATE THE INSTANCE AND RETURNS ERROR DBI1338E RC 5 WITH SYSADM GROUP DEFINED IN DOMAIN ONLY |

| Problem description: |
Execution of db2val returns error DBI1338E.
DBI1338E The validation of instance DB2INST failed. Reason
code=5.
The log file of db2val will show failure for task 3:
Task 3 : Validating SYSADM authority
Status 3 : Failure
This has been seen on Windows environments with instance owner
and SYSADM group being defined in a Windows domain only. |
