Problem IT04101 | Status: Closed |
PERSISTING LOG FILE FLAG 0X100 PREVENTS BACKUP OF LOGICAL LOG
product: | |
INFORMIX SERVER / 5725A3900 / C10 - IDS 12.10
Problem description: | |
You may encounter a situation in which logical log backup can not be backed up. When looking at the oncheck -pr output you may find a flag 0x100 (in combination with other flags, like 0x1 or 0x10) which should be set only temporarily. When this flag is set persistently the logical log backup of this log file does not succeed and you will need to involve Informix technical support to prevent the logical log files from filling up completely and blocking the instance. You would see ontape and logbackup threads in these states in onstat -g ath: 151 4afee268 47e5d4a8 2 full Q 20cpu ontape 152 4afeea48 47e5dd68 2 misc 13cpu logbackup
