REORG RECLAIM EXTENTS ON MDC TABLE MAY WAIT ON ONLINE BACKUP LEADING TO SQL0964C TRANSACTION LOG FULL |

| Problem description: |
A REORG RECLAIM EXTENTS on MDC table may be blocked by a
concurrently ongoing online backup. Online backup holds the
Internal Online Backup Lock while a tablespace is archived. The
REORG agent is waiting on this lock during the RECLAIM EXTENTS
operation and cannot COMMIT while waiting. This can lead to
REORG holding the oldest transaction and logfiles filling up
ending in SQL0964C, transaction log full situations.
This also affects REORG RECLAIM EXTENTS on ITC and BLU tables. |
