GETTING AF ON SELECT FROM VTI EXPRESSION TABLE

Problem description:
Doing a select containing a where condition like 
select * from vts where  tmstamp > today 
 
will generate an Af file, displays error messages 
 244: Could not do a physical-order read to fetch next row. 
 
12803: Error in executing an access_method routine execution 
sequence. 
 
and writes also error message 9871 to the online.log
