DB2 - Problem description

Problem IT04211 Status: Closed

WHEN USING XADATASOURCE WITH ENABLESYSPLEXWLB=TRUE, A GRADUAL AND PERMANENT
GROWTH IN TRANSPORT OBJECTS MAY OCCUR

product:
DB2 DATA SRVR D / DB2DSDRVR / A50 - DB2
Problem description:
When an XADataSource with enableSysplexWLB configured as true is
used, it is noticed that there is a gradual growth in total
transport objects. Over time, the total transport objects may
reach 1000. Since the default value for maxTransportObejcts is
1000, the driver would not create any more transport objects
after this maximum has been reached, resulting in the following
SQL Exceptions preventing any more transactions from occurring:

Timeout getting a transport object from pool. ERRORCODE=-4210,
SQLSTATE=57033

If corresponding transport pool statistics are collected it will
be seen that the total pool objects count (tpo: ) continues to
increase over time until it hits 1000.

Note: The total pool objects number is not expected to exceed
much more than "total no of logical connections times the no of
data sharing members".
