DB2 - Problem description

Problem IT05424 Status: Closed

SOME UPDATE STATEMENTS ON COLUMN-ORGANIZED TABLES MAY UPDATE THE SAME ROWS
TWICE

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A50 - DB2
Problem description:
In some cases, a row in a column-organized table may be updated
twice in a single statement. For example, if the table contains
two columns (name, salary) and the following row is in the table
(Jones, 20000), an update statement which increments salary by
10% could leave the row with a salary of 24200 (two 10%
increases).
