POSSIBLE HANG WHEN RUNNING QUERY ON COLUMN-ORGANIZED TABLE IF NEW SUB-AGENT THREAD CANNOT BE ACQUIRED
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A50 - DB2
Problem description: | |
An error acquiring a subagent thread at the beginning of execution of a query on a column-organized query can result in a hang for the application that hit the error. The hang would involve a single agent in a stack similar to the following: ibm_cde::services::EventWaitPost::wait ibm_cde::services::EventWaitPost::wait ibm_cde::query::deleteSchedulerWhenPossible cdeInterface::runDestructor cdeInterface::close sqlriCdeClose sqlricjpInfrequent sqlricjp sqlricls_complex sqlricls sqlriecc sqlra_close_section sqlrr_process_close_request sqlrr_fetch_error sqlrr_open where the key aspect is the wait in ibm_cde::query::deleteSchedulerWhenPossible. Such an error, it should be noted, is generally a rare occurrence.
