DB2 - Problem description
Problem IT08235 | Status: Closed |
INCORRECT RESULT COULD BE RETURNED WHEN USING FULLWIDTH UNDER- SCORE CHARACTER (X'EFBCBF') IN LIKE PREDICATE AGAINST CLOB DATA
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A10 - DB2
Problem description: | |
Sometimes extra rows that do not qualify might be returned. This occurs when you use the fullwidth underscore character X'EFBCBF' in the LIKE predicate to match the CLOB datatype in the CLOB columns against Unicode databases, and the data's length is less than the pattern's length. This is because the fullwidth underscore character is 3 bytes.
