DB2 - Problem description

Problem IT09278 Status: Closed

RUNNING DB2HAICU IN XML MODE TO SETUP A SECOND HADR DATABASE FOR HIGH
AVAILABILITY RETURNS AN ERROR

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A50 - DB2
Problem description:
Running db2haicu in XML mode to setup a second HADR database for
high availability for the same instance causes the following
error message to be displayed:

Adding DB2 database partition '0' to the cluster ...
Creating dependency failed. Refer to db2diag.log for the current
member and the DB2 Information Center for details.
There was an internal db2cluster error. Refer to the diagnostic
logs (db2diag.log or /tmp/ibm.db2.cluster.*) and the DB2
Information Center for details.

In addition to this, the following db2diag.log error message is
seen:

This is due to the fact that the DB2 database partition resource
for the instance already exists. Currently we fail with the
above error in this case, but db2haicu should instead identify
that the DB2 partition resource already exists and continue on
to create the HADR resource.
