DB2 - Problem description
Problem IT09366 | Status: Closed |
HANG DUE TO INPLACE REORG FAILING TO UNLATCH A PAGE
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A50 - DB2
Problem description: | |
When inplace reorg moves an overflow record and the overflow is already on the target page, an attempt may be made to create or recreate a page dictionary on the target page. If the dictionary creation or recreation does not free up any additional space on the page, inplace reorg could fail to unlatch the page. Any other application attempting to latch the page will wait on the page latch indefinitely. The instance will need to be restarted.
