UPDATEABLE RSS NODE CAN FAIL TO RECONNECT TO PRIMARY AFTER A NETWORK ISSUE |

ENV : 11.50.FC9W2 AIX 6.1
The MACH setup consists of a Primary, connection manager,
updateable HDR secondary and two updateable RSS nodes. The
problem has been seen on both of the RSS nodes at some time over
the last few months.
The Primary online.log shows ...
08:12:09 Cannot establish an SMX connection to server
pn_mach_rss2.
08:17:01 SMX thread is exiting because of network error code
-25582
and the RSS nodes shows ...
08:26:00 SMX thread is exiting because the timeout period of
180 seconds has elapsed. Use
the IFX_SMX_TIMEOUT environment variable to set
the timeout period.
During normal operations, both the Primary and RSS node show two
smxsnd and two smxrcv threads but after the issue, there was
only one smxsnd and one smxrcv thread seen on both the Primary
and RSS node.
No more details were being shipped to the RSS node. |
