DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A50 - DB2

Under certain circumstances,  "db2pd -locks" output may show 
the same value for both the lock owner and the transaction 
handle while the status is "Waiting". 
 
This can happen because db2pd does not take latches while 
collecting data.  It is possible and expected that db2pd may 
access data that is changing and therefore cannot be retrieved 
or may not be completely accurate. 
 
While efforts are made to determine the actual lock owner, 
if the value cannot be determined at the time the data is 
collected, 
then the transaction handle is displayed instead. 
 
The lock owner can be determined from the output by finding the 
entry for the lock name with a status of 'G' for 'granted'.
