DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC80315 Status: Closed

LONG COLUMN DATA CAN BE CORRUPTED ON HP PLATFORM IN DB2 V9.5 FP8, WHEN DATA
IS WRITTEN AND READ IN PARALLEL

DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 950 - DB2
Problem description:
Due to some product changes in DB2 V9.5 FP8, LONG column data 
can be corrupted on HP platform, when several agents do writes 
and reads on the same LONG column in parallel. 
db2dart and db2inspect will not detect such a kind of 
corruption.

Local Fix:
Use LOB column type instead of LONG on HP platform, when 
possible.
