WHAT'S NEW IN IBM INFORMIX VERSION 14.10.XC9 CONTAINS AN ERROR STATING THAT SUPPORT FOR CSM WAS REMOVED IN XC9

The Informix Servers 14.10 documentation contains an error
listed under the section "What's new in IBM Informix version
14.10.xC9"

It says:
"Support for Informix encryption (Communication Support Module
(CSM)) is removed starting Informix Server 14.10.xC9 and JDBC
4.50.JC9 .
You should use Transport Layer Security (TLS)/Secure Sockets
Layer (SSL) instead."
This is not true. Engineering has confirmed that CSM is
deprecated, but still functional, and will be removed in a later
release. |

The documentation has been corrected to indicate that the CSM
feature is deprecated and it SHOULD no longer be used, instead
of saying that it has been removed. It will be removed in a
later release, possibly as early as IDS/CSDK 14.10/4.50 .xC11. |
