| Problem description: |
When installing the IDS server using the dmg file of the bundle
installer and selecting the option to "initialize" the
server, the server fails to initialize because the kernel
parameters have not been set with the proper values. |

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
When installing Informix Dynamic Server for the first time on a
system running Mac OS X, oninit may halt with memory errors.

RECOMMENDATION:
Upgrade to Informix Dynamic Server 11.50.xC2 or above.
