DISTRIBUTIONS ARE NOT CREATED FOR FIRST COLUMN OF TEMP TABLE WHEN RUNNING UPDATE STATISTICS HIGH OR MEDIUM

| Problem description: |
If you run update statistics commands like below for table,
distributions will not be created
for the first column in temptab1.
update statistics high for table temptab1 force;
update statistics medium for table temptab1 force;
The other columns will have their distributions created.
Attempting to work around this problem by running update
statistics on the lead column or
a list of columns including the first column does not create
distributions for the first column either.
The command reports that update statistics was successful but
there are no distributions for the first column
in any of these cases. |
