MEMORY DURATION PROBLEM WITH UDR USED AGAINST IN CLAUSE

A query of the form
select ...
from
where some_udr(col_x) IN ()
or some_udr(col_y) IN ()
...
potentially and temporarily, for the duration of the query, will
consume large amounts of memory, depending on how many rows hit,
how many such in clauses and how long each .
More condtions for this problem are:
- functional indices existing on some_udr(col_X)
- a query plan chosen that's making use of these indices
(OPTCOMPIND 0 can be a favoring factor) |
