CONNECTION ERRORS ARE NOT REPORTED BY DRDA-LISTENER

| Problem description: |
When a session tries to connect but cannot due to wrong username
or password, for tcp connections the listener thread will record
the errors in the online.log:
These are the error messages for the tcp connections.
12:34:39 listener-thread: err = -951: oserr = 0: errstr =
user@machine: Incorrect password or user user@machine is not
known on the database server.
12:34:48 Password Validation for user [user] failed!
12:34:48 Check for password aging/account lock-out.
12:34:48 listener-thread: err = -952: oserr = 0: errstr =
user@machine: User (user@machine)'s password is not correct for
the database server.
for drdra connections no errors are reported by the listener
thread. Therefore only the message being written by the
authenication itlself
(Password Validation for user.... failed) will be reported.
both sort of connections should be treated similarly. |
