-626/-103 ALTERING A TABLE WHEN COLUMN IS CHANGED TO SERIAL AND PRIMARY KEY CONSTRAINT IS ADDED SAME TIME

| Problem description: |
Consider these SQL commands:
drop table t10;
create table t10 (f1 int, f2 char(10));
insert into t10 values (1,"eins");
insert into t10 values (2,"zwei");
alter table t10 modify f1 serial, add constraint primary key
(f1);
The last alter statement fails with:
626: Cannot obtain or set serial value.
103: ISAM error: illegal key descriptor (too many parts or too
long). |

A workaround is:
alter table t10 add constraint primary key (f1), modify f1
serial;
...but that is a defect and is fixed where this is fixed. |
