As part of entering file system maintenance mode, the command to stop the Spectrum Scale "mmsysmoncontrol" daemon might fail with the following error in the db2cluster log: 2021-06-11-16.52.27.903075-240 I76034E686 LEVEL: Info PID : 1514 TID : 140242265687872 PROC : db2cluster INSTANCE: db2inst1 NODE : 001 HOSTNAME: host1 FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, high avail services, GPFSCommandAdaptor::executeCommand, probe:0 DATA #1 : String, 33 bytes /usr/lpp/mmfs/bin/mmsysmoncontrol DATA #2 : Hexdump, 12 bytes 0x00007FFF66D537E0 : 4E4F 494E 4954 2073 746F 7000 NOINIT stop. DATA #3 : String, 0 bytes Object not dumped: Address: 0x0000000001EBEBF0 Size: 0 Reason: Zero-length data DATA #4 : String, 59 bytes Usage: mmsysmoncontrol {[start]|[stop]|[restart] [status]} DATA #5 : signed integer, 4 bytes 0 In some cases this may cause the "unable to unload kernel modules" error in the later stages of entering maintenance mode. | |
