DB2 - Problem description

INSERTING BLOBS OF SIZE 32756 BYTES DOES NOT COMPLETE WHEN EXECUTED IN A
TRANSACTION.

Problem description:
inserting  blobs of size 32756 bytes causes an application hang 
while serer is waiting to read more information from the socket. 
 
Problem reproduces on both Informix and DB2 servers 
 
The problem appears to be with the EXTDTA OBJDSS and the 
corresponding
