DB2 - Problem description

PURESCALE ADD MEMBER/CF using db2iupdt -add fails due to missing
$INSTANCE_HOME/sqllib/ctrl/.fencedID file.

This happens due to missing 
$INSTANCE_HOME/sqllib/ctrl/.fencedID file.

Local Fix:
Create $INSTANCE_HOME/sqllib/ctrl/.fencedID file and update it 
with fenceid used during instance creation. Then run db2iupdt
