WHEN RUNNING NLJN against COLUMNAR TABLES IT IS POSSIBLE TO GET SQL0901N
ERROR

Problem description:
WHEN RUNNING NLJN against COLUMNAR TABLES,
and NLJN is executed in Columnar  portion of the plan,
and some or more NLJN payload columns  are variable-length data
type (varchar, varbinary, etc.)
it is possible to get
SQL0901N error with the following message reported in
db2diag.log:


AssertionFailedException: An assertion 'varlen
